Michael Robert Kirkcaldy

Having completed his BLC and LLB degree at the University of Pretoria, Michael Kirkcaldy was admitted to the profession as an attorney on the 21st of February 1995 and then as a conveyancer on the 5th of December 1995. He established the firm “M R Kirkcaldy Attorneys” in 1996 and built his reputation as a proficient commercial attorney for clients such as City Property, EG Chapman and Growthpoint. The firm quickly grew on the back of a good reputation and excellent service delivery. Michael is a well-respected entrepreneur, having established and run successful businesses over the past 25 years such as the Venturefin, Batterboys Caterers and Old Farm Properties to name a few. Michael specialises in all aspects of Property Law, Conveyancing and Commercial Law.
Jose Manuel Fonseca Pereira (Director)
BLC LLB (UP)
Jose Pereira completed his BLC and LLB degrees at the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an attorney on the 8th of May 2001. He was appointed as a director in 2002 after having successfully served his articles of clerkship at the firm. He went on to head the Sectional Title and Magistrates Court and High Court Litigation department. Jose has been involved in high profile litigation matters, including being appointed as the attorney for the National Potato Co-operative in a High Court action against Price Waterhouse Coopers. It was, and remains, one of the most prominent and longest-running litigation matters ever heard in the North Gauteng High Court. It is also the leading reported case involving auditor negligence, champerty and litigation funding in South Africa. Over the past 20 years, Jose has specialised in all forms of High Court and Magistrates Court Litigation, IT Law and Commercial Law. He is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Lee Van Der Westhuizen (Associate Attorney)

Lee Van der Westhuizen completed her LLB at the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an attorney in April 2019 after successfully completing her articles at the firm. She was appointed as a Professional Assistant in January 2019. She currently heads the Sectional Title and HOA Collections department. Lee has a keen interest and specialises in Magistrates and High Court litigation, Sectional title, and Homeowners Association disputes as well as drafting of company MOI's.
Margie Monteiro (Conveyancing Secretary and Office Manager)
A member of the firm since 1996, Mrs. Margie Monteiro has been an integral part of the firm’s success and growth over the years. Margie has served as an invaluable Personal Assistant and Conveyancing Secretary to Mr. Kirkcaldy since her joining the firm and is responsible for all matters relating to the daily management of KP Inc. Margie has over 25 years’ experience in the fields of Commercial Litigation, Collections and Conveyancing; specialising in bond registrations
Mr. Garth Kirkcaldy joined the KP Inc Team in 2020 and qualified as an Attorney and Notary in 2022, after two years of Articles of Clerkship. Garth has experience in the fields of Commercial and Property Litigation, Company Law, Contract Law, Family Law, Debt Collection, Estates and Insolvency. Garth’s interests are in the fields of General Litigation, Conveyancing, Environmental Law and International Law.
Natalie Reitz (Collections Administrator)
Ms. Natalie Reitz has been a long-standing member of the KP Inc team. Joining the firm in February 2004, Natalie now has accumulated 15 years’ experience in the legal field. Natalie has extensive experience in the fields of commercial debt collection, commercial relationship management, conveyancing preparation and general office administration. Natalie is currently responsible for the collection administration for one of the largest property managing agents in Pretoria.
Martin Visser (Financial Manager)

Mr. Martin Visser was appointed to the position of Financial Manager at KP Inc in November 2015 and has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Martin is responsible for the financial management of KP Inc as well as a group of 11 companies in sectors such as legal, financial services, hospitality, entertainment, and retail. Martin is further responsible for the human resources department at KP Inc as well as the firm’s POPI Compliance.
Patricia Van Heerden (Collections Administrator)
Ms. Patricia van Heerden has been a part of KP Inc since June 2019 and has served as Collections Administrator for some of the largest property management agencies in Pretoria. Patricia has many years of experience in the fields of debt collections, Road Accident Fund claims, asset foreclosures and divorces.
Susan Nkuna (General Administrator)
Mrs. Susan Nkuna started at KP Inc in 2004 in the position of cleaner and tea lady. Having displayed excellent communication, administrative and inter-personal skills, she was soon promoted to the position of General Administrator. Susan is tasked with a host of administrative functions and is the first friendly face one is greeted with when visiting our office.
